07 Feb Promoting Anne Arundel County

I attended the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Mid-Atlantic Conference at National Harbor on February 6 and 7. I have been attending this annual event since 1986. It is a convention for the retail real estate industry, developers and property owners, retailers and services to the trade.

Upon leaving and to my surprise, I ran into Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh along with the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation President and CEO, Julie Mussog and their Senior Vice President Mary Burkholder.  It was only a surprise that after 31 years of attendance, this is maybe the first visit by an Anne Arundel County Executive. I thanked him and he told me “we need to market the County”.

Leadership at the top tends to filter down both negative and positive. County Executive Schuh’s leadership has filtered down in a positive way not only to those he leads in the County but to those in the County for whom he leads: you and me.
